The San Jose Sharks Host Special Night for Hockey Fights Cancer Month!

Sometimes cancer patients, especially those undergoing treatment, just need a smile to get through their day. That’s exactly what The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and the San Jose Sharks had in mind when blood cancer patients from around the area and their families were invited to enjoy a Sharks game on Saturday night in celebration of Hockey Fights Cancer Month!

For the special night, children battling blood cancer and blood related disorders were invited to attend the game with their families to enjoy a night of action to help boost their morale. LLS’s Honorees Aubrey, Noah and Tyler and their families received extra special treatment and were invited by Martin Havlat of the Sharks to watch the game from his suite at the SAP Center at San Jose.

During the game, the Sharks mascot, Sharkie, made a special appearance to take pictures with the families, and patients and fans alike were thrilled when the San Jose Sharks beat the Ottawa Senators. After the exciting win, all of the families were escorted down to meet the players, who signed autographs, chatted about the game and lifted the spirits of everyone in the room!

Thank you to the San Jose Sharks for hosting such an amazing evening!
