A Light The Night spring reunion

Color Me MineBecause we had a large number of pediatric patients and their families participate in our 2012 East Bay Light The Night Walk, we thought it would be great to bring the families together again with a spring reunion. This past Sunday, twenty-two honorees, parents and siblings from all over the East Bay, enjoyed fruit and cupcakes while painting pottery treasures for family, friends and themselves at Color Me Mine in Walnut Creek. It was a great opportunity for friends, both new and old, to catch-up and share experiences; a special event a kin to our First Connection program that connects newly diagnosed patients with a peer volunteer who has been through treatment and learned how to manage the same disease.

Color Me Mine2And as you can see from the pictures, it was a complete success – parents and kids connected and bonded. This fun-filled day also ignited excitement for our 2013 Light The Night Walks. We are thrilled to announce this year’s Walk dates:

September 13, 2013 – San Francisco Light The Night Walk at AT&T Park (a super exciting NEW location for us!)

September 28, 2013 – Napa Light The Night Walk (a brand NEW Walk!) at Veterans Memorial Park in Napa

October 12, 2013 – North Bay Light The Night Walk at Courthouse Square in Santa Rosa

October 26, 2013 – East Bay Light The Night Walk at Civic Park in Walnut Creek
