Exciting news! LLS, in partnership with the Cancer Prevention Institute of California (CPIC) and Stanford Cancer Institute, will offer a brand new patient program covering many aspects of cancer survivorship this fall. We are calling it the Bay Area Cancer Survivorship Conference and it is free and open to all adult (18 years and older) cancer survivors regardless of diagnosis.
This day-long conference on October 27 at the Mission Bay Conference Center will consist of a general morning session with expert-led presentations on nutrition, healthy living, work, finances and medical aspects of survivorship. The afternoon track will offer sessions on stress management, coping with late-term effects and sexuality. Young adult survivors will have the option to attend a special afternoon track focusing on dating, intimacy, fertility and other practical issues.
The conference is free, but registration is required. The deadline to register is October 15, 2012. For more information about the event, please visit our website.
