Our 2012 Light The Night Walk Honored Heroes

Seeing that it is Blood Cancer Awareness Month and we are celebrating survivorship, it seems fitting that we take a moment to officially announce our 2012 Light The Night Honored Heroes. These incredible individuals are the “faces” of our North Bay (10/6), San Francisco (10/18)  and East Bay (10/27) Light The Night Walks. All three are blood cancer survivors and I invite you to take a moment today to read their full stories on the Light The Night Walk website. In the meantime, here’s a little bit about these superstars who are inspiring our community to raise funds and unite behind one mission – creating a world without blood cancer – this October.

Teresa Hurtado-Diaz
North Bay Light The Night Walk
Diagnosis: Acute lymphoid leukemia (ALL) in 2006
Fun Facts about Teresa:
-She often volunteers her time in our Santa Rosa branch office
-She aspires to become a physician
-She is a newlywed!

Kaidyn Moore
San Francisco Light The Night Walk
Diagnosis: Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in 2008
Fun Facts about Kaidyn:
-He just started school this Fall
-His favorite MLB team is the A’s
-His favorite food is chicken nuggets

Dawson Lobao (center)
East Bay Light The Night Walk
Diagnosis: Acute myeloid leukemia (AML)/ Acute lymphoid leukemia (ALL) in January 2011
Fun Facts About Dawson:
-His favorite MLB team is the Giants
-His favorite book is Goodnight Moon
